Wilson also made a splash on the world stage winning the b-class final at the Motocross of Nations in his professional debut. “I’ve been waiting my entire life for this,” said Wilson. “Everything is so exciting right now, I can’t wait for the race on Saturday. Bobby Bonds Injury Update

Bakersfield, Ca: 2/17/10-  Bobby Bonds received some good news yesterday as he left the Dr.'s office, following that ugly get off at Anaheim stadium last weekend where he suffered a broken collar bone in his heat race early in the evening.  Bonds' injury wasn't exactly as bad as thought.  The collar bone is broken, but cleanly as they say and not misaligned. "Bobby's injury wasn't as bad as originally thought, said Dr. Jondy Cohen, orthopedic surgeon out of Modesto, Ca who has worked on some of the best in the sport.  He actually broke the bone in two spots but there was no misalignment or overlapping of the collar bone.  With that said, I saw no reason to risk infection by opening him up and having possible hardware failure, and everything else that comes along with surgeries these days.  He will spend the next 3-4 weeks healing up and should be able to get back in the bike at that time." Bobby will miss the next round of WORCS in two weeks at Buffflo Bills Casino Resort in Primm, NV, but hopes to return March 28th for Round #3 of the WORCS series at Lake Havasu, Az.  This race would...

Road 2 Recovery Raises Almost 30K

Scottsdale, AZ – For the first six supercross races this season, with the help of Monster Energy and Feld Motorsports, the Road 2 Recovery Foundation has raised over $29,500. Thanks to all the help from Monster Energy this year, we will exceed last year’s total results of $51,846, which is an amazing feat in this recessed economy. The Road 2 Recovery cannot thank Monster Energy enough for all their help this year. With Monster’s support and allowing the Foundation to have our footprint in the best place in the pits, the Foundation is well under way to accomplishing our dream of becoming large enough to provide for an injured rider for the duration of their life, in the event they sustain a career ending injury and are unable to generate revenue again. Be sure to check out our weekly Supercross Auctions on eBay or stop by the Road 2 Recovery tent located next to Monster Energy at the 2010 Supercross races to purchase souvenir lanyards and raffle tickets that contribute to the injured rider’s fund and thank Monster for their amazing support for all they are doing to help out your injured heroes. Max Anstie Injury Update

Star Racing's Max Anstie crashed in his heat race at Anaheim III this past weekend and injured his hip. We got updated on his condition from Star Racing's team coordinator Donovan Mitchell: "Max originally was thought to have a badly broken hip and needed surgery today. But, Sunday, after more X-rays by a specialist, they have it diagnosed as a fractured hip. No surgery is needed as of now, and today he is set to see what happens after he puts weight on it. After that, more X-rays will assess if surgery is needed. However, the thinking is it won’t be needed and maybe a recovery time of eight weeks will be sufficient. The doctor today said he could be leaving on Tuesday. He’s in really good spirits. He finds the bright things in everything. He says this little deal just makes him all the more tougher, and gives him more confidence in the long run by everything not coming easy. As always, Max wants to get working hard, and really appreciates his sponsors and fans." Max Anstie is out with a fractured hip. photo: Steve Cox

Bobby Bonds Injury Update

Bakersfield, CA:Bobby Bonds' season has had a slight set back due to an injury he received Saturday night while competing at Round #6 of the 2010 Monster Energy Supercross series. At Anaheim this past weekend, Bonds was doing this kicker section right before the triple, and on lap 3 or 4 of his heat race while running 10th, he hit the infamous neutral which catapulted him over the bars and into the face of the triple ahead, breaking his collarbone and ending his night early and most likely putting him out of Rounds 2 and 3 of the WORCS series. Says Bonds: "This is something I definitely hate is when accidents happen over simple obstacles. I was having fun doing these supercross' on my off time from WORCS and making money at it as well. I'm just bummed for my sponsors and myself. I felt I had this year dialed in, and while Round #1 was a fluke with the fuel issue, I felt I had a decent shot to bounce back and remain consistent with the rest of the season. Now, with the collar bone, I might be out until at least Round 4 (Adelanto, Ca). Jason immediately got...

Rockstar Makita Suzuki Fights to the Finish

Brea, Calif. - The Rockstar Makita Suzuki team put together a solid race effort on Saturday, February 13, at the third Supercross to take place at Angel Stadium in Anaheim. The team's rookie powerhouse, Ryan Dungey, overcame adversity to finish the main event in fourth place and keep himself at the top of the points leaderboard. On the first dry track the series has seen in three weeks, Dungey was the second fastest rider after 3 practices and he took the holeshot in Heat #1, leading the entire 8 laps. At the drop of the gate for the main event, Dungey shot out in sixth place, but quickly picked the best lines to improve his position. He made his way into fourth position when a misstep spun him around on the track. Dungey was able to keep upright and landed back in fifth place. Focusing on regaining his spot, Dungey made the pass and finished the race in fourth, which puts him in a tie for first place in overall points. "I felt good after practice, and I feel like we had a good set up on the bike," Dungey said. "But the track was tough. Right from the beginning...

PJ Larsen Earns 5th at Anaheim 3 Supercross

Anaheim, CA – FMF/KTM rider PJ Larsen had his best overall Supercross finish in only his second week as a replacement rider for the injured, Tommy Searle, with a 5th overall at Angel Stadium. Larsen had a decent start to the day turning lap times within the top ten overall times and eventually qualifying to the night show in 11th. Larsen was placed in heat #2 for the night show along with KTM Factory Services/One Industries rider Sean Borkenhagen. Both riders lined the gate for the start of the heat and came out pretty even around the first turn. Borkenhagen was sitting in 7th with Larsen one spot back in 8th. The two riders held their pace for the next two laps and then moved up a spot on the third lap. On the next lap current 3rd place rider Max Anstie suffered a terrible crash that caused a red flag on the race. All riders returned to the gate while the medic crew attended to the injured rider. On the restart, Borkenhagen got a better jump coming out in 4th while Larsen’s jump was equal to his first starting in 8th place. Borkenhagen held 4th for two laps and...
